William Shatner Biography - William Alan Shatner was born on March 22, 1931. He is a author, recording artist, and Canadian actor. He best known for his roles on Boston Legal and Star Trek. He has also authored a series of science fiction novels called TekWar that were adapted for television.
He has since worked as a musician, bestselling author, producer, director, and celebrity pitchman, most notably for Priceline.com. Shatner started his career as a child performer in radio programs for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. As a student at McGill University, he continued to pursue acting.
Shatner had a leading role in an Alfred Hitchcock Presents third-season (1957–1958) episode titled "The Glass Eye", one of his first appearances on American television. There was also an episode for The Outer Limits. Shatner guest-starred in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." in an episode that also featured Leonard Nimoy, with whom Shatner later would be paired in "Star Trek".
